Temple Beth Sholom of Stratford and Congregation Sinai of Milford have joined together to create a community religious school. The new school, known as Yachad (which means ‘together’ in Hebrew), will build on the tradition of academic excellence both synagogues have been noted for.  The new program will provide students from both communities a larger student body, more teachers, and a variety of exciting educational and social experiences. 

In class, students gain a reading knowledge of Hebrew, develop familiarity with Israel, explore history and ethics, learn rituals for home and synagogue, and build strong Jewish identities. Class size is small.

Shabbes U classes are held each quarter in conjunction with Saturday Shabbat services.  Period one covers contemporary and historical Jewish history and issues, and Period two will be a discussion of the TBS Book Club's current reading selection.
